Last week in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, on a whim I decided to call my 2nd grade Science Teacher. Surprisingly, she’s the only Black STEM Teacher I’ve had. Now you know I’ve had my fair share of STEM classes, especially since that’s what most of my college curriculum consisted of (*cough* Mechanical Engineering)! When our educators look like us it can leave a major impression on a child’s life.
So, I looked up her number online and gave it a call not knowing who might land on the other end. Check out this new video to see what happened!
