Birding, Field Research & Racism w/ Corina Newsome

Corina Newsome is a wildlife conservationist conducting field research in rural Georgia, which is a long way from her hometown of Philly. The town has plantation museums glorifying slavery and her work site is down the road from where Ahmaud Arbery was killed – Why is she still there, you ask?

It’s the passion for her work! She loves birds and all things in the natural world. She aims to inspire more Black birders to explore and feel safe enough to do so.
