Working in Wakanda: Embracing Gender Equality in STEM [WakandaCon 2018]

August 5, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Sistas in STEM is headed to WakandaCon! Join us on August 5th at 12pm in the Hilton Downtown Chicago Salon C Room 1. Purchase your weekend pass on their website. See you there!

Description:
We all wish we could work in Wakanda, where women and men are treated as equals and melanin flows everywhere you go. Unfortunately, that’s often not our reality. In this event, Sistas in STEM will host an open discussion on gender equality in the STEM workforce. We’ll expose the issues we face working in the industry, and explore ways to change the culture. Together we can embrace the equality we desperately need and empower those seeking a little support. What indifference have you faced on the rise through your career? How can you help change this culture?
