This year they are going BIG by hosting the 1st Annual ENpowered Games, a Middle School Engineering Competition. The event will bring together 400 of the best and brightest underrepresented students from 16 middle schools across the city of Chicago.
On May 25th at the Museum of Science and Industry students will work in teams to solve a series of mechanical and electrical engineering design challenges to determine which team and school will reign supreme.Their staff has provided students with 20 hours of engineering instruction prior to the competition to enhance their understanding and skills in various engineering disciplines. The only thing they’re missing is YOU!
Project SYNCERE is seeking out volunteers in the Chicagoland area to help during the event. You can choose between 3 time slots: all-day (8am-3pm), morning (8am-12pm), and afternoon (12pm-3pm).
