Think about it… What did high school REALLY teach you? So many of us are coming from education systems in underrepresented communities that aren’t properly preparing us for college and definitely not careers in STEM. It’s left up to us to actually seek out other courses and programs that can help advance us further.
My high school friend, Dr. Rahamat Odunsi, and I sat down to discuss the education we’ve received and how it’s affected our paths into STEM. She shares the difficulties she faced to get into medical school and advice for those going through the same.
